Rouge Aerie Designs was founded in order to bring a bit more dark whimsy to the world. Driven by custom-designed, one-of-a-kind prints and influenced by a wide variety of styles, we seek to fill that niche you didn't know was empty.

I'm so excited to get Nightmare Rising, but I'm worried about what size to get, since my waist is exactly 66cm, but my bust is smaller than 84, and I'm worried the dress won't be long enough. Do you think custom sizing would ever be an option?
rouge-aerie rouge-aerie Said:

Hey Anon. We actually cover a bit of this this in our FAQ, but I’ll give you a few more details here!

The reason custom sizing isn’t an option at present is because of minimum order quantities with our factory. Each size requested has a minimum number we have to order to be produced. Thus, we can’t do custom sizing, because we’d have to order multiples of that size. Whether this will change in future is as yet uncertain.

However, we are making adjustments for future lines to improve fit over the range. We are planning on adding other sizes (the Nightmare Rising was produced in sizes AU6-16). We’re also adding details in designs which include partial shirring, corset lacing, adjustable shorter straps, and waist ties for better, more easily customisable fit within each size. If you haven’t already, please feel free to add your feedback to this questionnaire, as well. We’re using it to determine the sizing for upcoming design runs, as well as the proportionate amounts of each size to be produced within those runs.

Since you’re on the lower edge of our size 6 and the Nightmare Rising line has already finished production, the only recommendation we could make would be to buy the 6 and have it tailored for your bust measurements.

Recently, we announced that we would be releasing a choker in two colourways. Just today, we received the factory samples to show off! We’ll have more details on the Nephelai chokers soon and will open pre-orders as soon as production is under way.

did you still have nightmare rising dresses in stock(i saw 2 dresses on enchanted event but they were not my size)..i usually wear uk 18

Hey there, anon. We’ve just paid for the shipment of Nightmare Rising dresses that were waiting in China so they’ll be in stock soon. We don’t have an ETA yet, as they’ll be coming by sea freight.

Unfortunately, while we’re looking at adding an 18 and 20 to our size range, the largest we released for the Nightmare Rising dresses is an Australian/UK 16.

We mentioned last week on Facebook that we would have some big news coming up. Well, we have it!

After our previous announcement concerning the One Day in Paradise situation, we went through the necessary legal steps to terminate the licensing contract for the Nightmare Rising dresses. This course of action meant that we would be able to purchase the dresses that were left unpaid for directly from the factory. We have been negotiating with them for the last few weeks to bring the dresses to Australia.

This morning, we made payment on the remaining stock that the factory was holding!

While the original Carouskel print was all executed with vector artwork, the new version is getting a bit more of an organic touch! After working up the lineart in Illustrator, little details and minor changes are made to the rasterised artwork to give it that extra bit of umph!

WHERE IS THE MERMAID PRINT, EGGMAN

YOU SAID THERE WOULD BE MERMAIDS

And so there shall! Never fear, the mermaids are coming.

We mentioned that things are moving here are RAD HQ and they are indeed moving! We’ve just put down the sample deposit for a professionally manufactured pearl choker to match several upcoming designs.

This choker will be available in two different colourways. Photos will be posted once the sample pieces arrive!

We’ve added the “submit” button to the blog so you can now show us your stuff! Have a cool project that you completed with one of our fabrics? Have a neat coordinate you wore using one of our designs? Show it off! We’ll share it with the world!

Where would be the best place to order your new JSK from in the USA?
rouge-aerie rouge-aerie Said:

Hey anon! Which JSK do you mean?

If the Nightmare Rising JSK, right now it’s going to be mostly a matter of “which shop has the size and colour I want in stock?” (Here’s a list of the shops that currently have Nightmare Rising dresses available.) Until the situation between ODIP and the factory has been resolved, the dresses are pretty limited in stock.

If you mean the Countess Gabrielle JSK, you will be able to order directly from Rouge Aerie once the dresses go up for pre-order! We’re working on the manufacturing situation presently, and hope to have news by the middle of next month.
